Beau Champ est situé au sud est de Flaq.
Le nom de beau champ existait avant 1783 lorsque la concession des terrains en fut faite à Jacques Gaspard BESNARD. Ce dernier se trouvant à la tête d’un important bien, il attira dans la région ses beaux frères et belle-sœur LATOUR, de sorte que la famille y posséda 3200 arpents.
En 1783 une usine sucrière fut construite.

Beau Champ is located southeast of Flacq.
The name of Beau Champ (beautiful field) existed before 1783 when the concession of land was given to Jacques Gaspard BESNARD. The latter found himself at the head of an important property, and managed to attract to the region his brothers and sisters-in-laws, the LATOUR, so that the family eventually owned 3200 acres.
In 1783 a sugar factory was built at Beau Champ.
